origin story + current work

Jaelyn Elizabeth (she/they) is a Black, artist, facilitator, and creative director based in Sacramento, California (Miwok - Patwin - Nisenan territories). They have been dedicated to radical self and collaborative care practices that align with the land's sustainability for over a decade. Through urban farming, facilitating therapeutic workshops, and creating art based on her experiences with wellness and survival, Jaelyn hopes to channel the possibilities of a life outside of the current paradigms. Working with under-resourced populations motivates them to continue to bridge gaps between accessibility, wellness, and oppression through an intersectional environmentalism lens.

Jaelyn is dedicated to the wellness resource collaborative H(u)ny Mother. This entity organizes sustainable skill development through a community garden, approachable movement + care practices, and collaborating with other community members to develop programs that support and facilitate group progress in Northern California.
